Services Available

  • Aquatic therapy: rehabilitation exercise performed in water to provide a non-weight bearing environment. Used for general conditioning, to increase range of motion and to strengthen muscles while eliminating gravitational pressure on joints.
  • Electrical Stimulation: interferential and premodulated for pain relief; Russian and Twin-Peak High Volt for atrophy, relaxing muscle spasm, increasing local circulation and re-educating muscles.
  • Extremity Manipulation: manual (by hand) manipulation of the joints of the arms and legs to increase joint mobility, reduce adhesions, improve function and decrease pain.
  • Ice/Heat: decreases inflammation/increases the temperature of tissue making it more pliable to better allow exercise to remodel the area safely and effectively. Increased heat brings nutrients & oxygen to the area aiding the healing process.
  • Myofascial Release: muscle therapy designed to eliminate trigger points (local areas of pain found within muscles).
  • Oxygen Saturation Monitoring: monitoring blood oxygen levels during cardiovascular exercise.
  • Physical Therapy Evaluation performed by a licensed physical therapist to analyze structural imbalances via a detailed examination to better determine your ideal course of therapy.
  • Spinal Decompression: using the revolutionary DRX-9000 to decompress spinal discs to relieve nerve pressure in the lower back. Go to http://healthworksimc.com/DRX9000.htm for additional information.

  • Therapeutic Massage: muscle therapy to increase blood flow while decreasing muscle spasm and pain.
  • Therapeutic Exercise: cardiovascular- improves circulation and strengthens the entire cardiovascular system. Also aids to increase joint mobility; flexibility- increases range of motion and decrease muscle adhesions; progressive resistance- increases and balances muscle strength and stabilize joints.
  • Traction (manual/mechanical): the application of a longitudinal force to the axis of the spinal column. In other words, parts of the spinal column are “pulled” in opposite directions in order to stabilize or change the position of damaged aspects of the spine.
  • Ultrasound: muscle therapy to improve local circulation and decrease muscle spasm and pain.
